Let's Study Abroad Through Fairy Tales... LGU+ Aideulnara Conducts Reading Campaign

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] LG Uplus's content platform exclusively for infants and toddlers, 'Idolnara,' announced on the 23rd that it will run the 'Fairy Tale Study Abroad Campaign,' which helps cultivate children's reading habits, until June 21.

Fairy Tale Study Abroad, a term inspired by the idea of children entering fairy tale books to meet friends and learn daily habits, means 'going abroad to study through fairy tales.' The campaign presents parenting methods using fairy tales based on the slogan 'Send your child into the fairy tale now.'

In line with the campaign, Idolnara changed the name of the 'Reading TV' service in its mobile app to Fairy Tale Study Abroad. Fairy Tale Study Abroad is a service where users can watch high-quality videos such as bestsellers and award-winning famous children's literature, narrated by professional fairy tale storytellers. It recommends weekly themed content across various areas. Through weekly selected themed content such as world classics, animals, daily habits, mental health, nature observation, and post-reading quizzes, LG Uplus expects children to develop active reading habits.

LG Uplus also launched a digital advertisement for the Fairy Tale Study Abroad campaign. The ad's concept is that children do not just read books but enter them, showing scenes of eating meals, riding cars, and making friends inside the book, conveying the message of wanting to gift an experience like 'studying abroad.'

Customers who want to use Idolnara, a mobile over-the-top (OTT) video service, can download the app from One Store, Google Play Store, or Apple App Store. New Idolnara app subscribers can use the service free for the first month, and if they subscribe by April 17, they can enjoy a promotion offering a 60% discount at 9,900 KRW per month (VAT included), continuing until service cancellation.

Park Jong-wook, Chief Officer of LG Uplus Idolnara, said, “Idolnara aims to provide 'living fairy tales' that children can touch, speak, and enjoy, not just 'reading fairy tales,' gifting an experience like 'studying abroad in a fairy tale.' We hope children start their first learning through fairy tales with Fairy Tale Study Abroad and discover new joys and possibilities.”
