Hankook & Company Group's business holding company, Hankook & Company, announced on the 23rd that it will newly launch the premium AGM battery of the global brand ‘Hankook’ in Korea on April 1.
The ES (Energy Solution) Business Division, responsible for the lead-acid battery business at Hankook & Company, will hold a briefing session on the launch of the ‘Hankook’ AGM battery brand on the 23rd at the headquarters ‘Technoplex’ located in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do, for nationwide dealership representatives.
Through this launch, Hankook & Company’s domestic lead-acid battery lineup, which was previously offered solely under the ‘AtlasBX’ brand, will be dual-branded with the premium AGM battery and MF battery marketed under the ‘Hankook’ and ‘AtlasBX’ brands, respectively.
The reason Hankook & Company is introducing the ‘Hankook AGM Battery’ domestically is due to the significantly increased consumer demand for high-performance batteries, driven by the widespread adoption of high-efficiency engine systems, smart power management vehicle technologies, and the installation of numerous electronic components. Hankook & Company plans to provide domestic customers with a premium driving experience through the unrivaled technology of the ‘Hankook AGM Battery,’ proven by its powerful starting performance, top charging efficiency, and longest quality warranty.
First, in one of the battery’s most important roles, starting performance, the company boasts enhanced performance by applying the ‘X Frame Plus Plate Technology’ and ‘AGM Plate Group Compression Technology,’ developed for the first time in the domestic lead-acid battery industry. It provides about 110% improved cold start performance compared to its previous products, ensuring stable power supply even in cold weather.
Additionally, rapid charge recovery performance has been improved by about 175% compared to previous products, meeting the rapid charging requirements of vehicles equipped with ISG technology, preventing the ISG function from being deactivated due to power reduction caused by insufficient battery charging during driving.
Based on confidence in its performance and quality, Hankook & Company offers the industry’s longest premium quality warranty of 2 years or 40,000 km to customers who purchase the ‘Hankook AGM Battery.’ With the application of ‘Long-life ALLC Technology,’ both performance and product lifespan are improved, allowing customers to use high-quality batteries for a long time without issues.
The ‘Hankook AGM Battery’ will be available for purchase starting in April at ‘T Station,’ Hankook Tire’s tire-centered total automotive service specialty stores, AtlasBX battery dealerships, and vehicle battery retailers nationwide. Detailed sales locations can be checked on the Hankook & Company product website. On the site, customers can access various services such as customized battery search for their vehicles and product purchase consultations.
