Hyundai Glovis will load the vehicles at Pyeongtaek Port and transport them to Derince Port in Turkey. According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) of Turkey, about 700,000 buildings, including apartments, have collapsed since the earthquake. Approximately 2 million displaced people are suffering from shortages of electricity, water, and food.

A Hyundai Glovis official said, “Countless displaced people have been created by the Turkey earthquake, and support for their daily recovery, such as food, is urgently needed. As this is a time when help is needed, we will do our best to deliver relief supplies by leveraging Hyundai Glovis’s logistics capabilities.”

Earlier last month, Hyundai Glovis provided several 40HQ containers (width 2.35 m, height 2.7 m, length 12.03 m) secured at the request of the Embassy of Turkey in Korea and is currently transporting 200 tons of relief supplies to Turkey free of charge.

The relief supplies being transported include clothing, heat packs, hygiene products, toothbrushes, and toothpaste donated by civic groups, religious organizations, and individual citizens in Korea.
