Black Yak has introduced hiking shoes that are essential for safe climbing, featuring functionality that also considers the environment.
Black Yak's hiking shoe '343 Series' carries the motto of sustainable hiking, encouraging people to enjoy daily life with the energy left after a safe mountain hike. The number 343 represents an efficient energy distribution of 30% for climbing, 40% for descending, and 30% for daily use. It also incorporates Black Yak's unique 'Energy Return System,' which converts the impact from the ground into kinetic energy.
The first hiking shoe in the 343 Series was the 'Yak 343 D GTX,' released in 2021 and famously known as the 'IU hiking shoe.' Building on the success of this product, Black Yak launched the '343 Pitch GTX' and, for the 23SS season, introduced the flagship product '343 Eco (ECO) GTX.' The lineup was further strengthened by adding new colors to products released last year. The 343 Eco GTX embodies eco-friendly values throughout the product while maintaining excellent functionality for safe trekking. The shoe's insole and upper jacquard mesh are made from recycled PET bottles used domestically, offering outstanding shock absorption as well as sweat absorption and ventilation capabilities.
Black Yak recently released a 343 photo shoot featuring brand model IU. IU showcased a clean spring hiking look by utilizing various items from the 343 Series, including hiking shoes and bags.
