Mokpo Coast Guard in the Process of Rescue Operation

A ship ran aground near Gwangdaedo Island in Jodo-myeon, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, prompting the Coast Guard to launch an emergency rescue operation.
According to the Mokpo Coast Guard, at around 6:44 a.m. on the 23rd, a 40-ton coastal gillnet fishing vessel A, carrying 13 people, was reported to have run aground near Gwangdaedo Island in Jodo-myeon, Jindo-gun.
The Mokpo Coast Guard immediately convened a situation support team and dispatched available forces, including patrol vessels and the West Sea Special District Unit, to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
Most of the crew were reported to be wearing life jackets, and so far, no casualties have been confirmed.
