Hyundai Rotem to Deliver Poland K2 Tanks Early... "3 Months Ahead"

5 K2 Tanks Delivered
Receiving Positive Local Reviews

Hyundai Rotem is accelerating the delivery of K2 tanks bound for Poland.

On the 22nd (local time), Hyundai Rotem announced on the 23rd that five K2 tanks arrived in Gdynia, Poland, approximately three months ahead of the original delivery schedule set for June.

The K2 tanks that arrived this time are part of the urgent order of 180 units signed in an execution contract with the Polish Armaments Agency last August. After local customs clearance and inspection processes, they will be officially handed over to the Polish military.

Hyundai Rotem has focused all its capabilities on ensuring the rapid shipment of K2 tanks by reallocating personnel to teams expected to face heavy workloads and extending working hours through special overtime applications to maximize work efficiency.

Active cooperation from the government, military, and related agencies also influenced the early delivery. The Ministry of National Defense, Defense Acquisition Program Administration, and the military significantly shortened administrative procedures related to the export of K2 tanks through organic work responses, while the Defense Quality Assurance Institute played a key role by conducting rapid quality inspections of the K2 tanks, advancing the overall production and delivery schedule.

A Hyundai Rotem official stated, "The early delivery plan of the K2 tanks was met with impressive evaluations and gratitude in Poland," adding, "We will continue to contribute to international peacekeeping through the stable delivery of K2 tanks and strive to further strengthen mutual trust between Korea and Poland centered on K-defense industry."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Rotem delivered the initial batch of 10 units locally about four months after the first execution contract for the urgent Polish K2 tank order was signed last August, and the delivery of the remaining units is also proceeding sequentially.
