AskUp, Upstage's AI chatbot that has surpassed 350,000 users and gained popularity, is adding new features.
On the 23rd, Upstage announced that it has added a '? search' function to AskUp, providing AI search linked with ChatGPT. Unlike ChatGPT, which only learned information up to 2021, AskUp integrates a search engine to find the latest information and provide answers.
AskUp also includes links to the sources of the information it provides. This addresses ChatGPT's limitation of generating inaccurate information and allows users to easily verify the accuracy of the information.
AskUp is based on OpenAI's ChatGPT combined with Upstage's OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology, earning it the nickname 'ChatGPT with eyes.' It can be used by adding the channel on KakaoTalk, and surpassed 350,000 channel friends within 18 days of its launch. With GPT-4 and the search function applied, it utilizes knowledge in 27 languages including Korean across various fields. It can respond not only in English but also in Korean, Chinese, and other languages.
Kim Seong-hoon, CEO of Upstage, said, “Following the application of GPT-4, we quickly updated AskUp by adding a search function so that everyone can more conveniently find and use the latest information. Being able to search directly during conversations will bring innovation to the mobile user experience.” He added, “Through AskUp, Upstage aims to enhance the public’s accessibility to and trust in AI.”
