Dongbu Construction held its 54th regular shareholders' meeting on the 22nd and appointed President Yoon Jin-oh as the new CEO.
New CEO Yoon graduated from the Department of Architectural Engineering at Jeonbuk National University and has worked in the construction industry for 30 years. He served as an executive in charge of outsourcing procurement and site management at Dongbu Construction, and later served as head of the Architectural Business Division, leading Dongbu Construction to improved performance and accident-free management.
The company explained that he was recognized for his ability as an integrated management-type CEO capable of overseeing all areas, having extensive experience in both fieldwork and management. Since his promotion to president in January this year, he has been evaluated as contributing to crisis management and enhancing corporate value despite the difficult construction market downturn.
At the shareholders' meeting, agenda items including the appointment of directors and approval of financial statements were passed. Vice Chairman Heo Sang-hee, who presided over the meeting, said, "Despite difficult internal and external conditions, all employees united as one and worked hard toward our goals," adding, "In a rapidly changing environment, we will strive to become a socially respected company through crisis management, strengthening profitability, and practicing sustainable management."
