MICE Support and Business Tour Know-How Seminar Held
As the demand for corporate meetings increases worldwide in the post-endemic era, the government is launching full-scale MICE attraction marketing.
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 22nd that it will hold a briefing session to revitalize the attraction of corporate meetings in preparation for the increase in corporate meeting demand and the expansion of the foreign business tour market after COVID-19, at the President Hotel in Seoul.
The event is being held in collaboration with Cosmojin Travel Agency, which specializes in VIP protocol tourism and corporate meeting events. About 30 domestic and international companies with demand for inviting overseas buyers were invited.
The organization will introduce the corporate meeting incentive support system and Korea Unique Venue’s customized meeting facilities. Cosmojin Travel Agency will provide guidance on global protocol etiquette, representative Korean tourism, and experience programs.
In addition, various programs such as a special lecture on "Islamic Culture and the New Middle East Strategy," a "Makgeolli Dessert Experience" led by a chef, and a "Deoksugung Tour with a Dedicated VIP Guide" will be operated. Networking among participating company representatives will also be actively conducted.
Kwon Jong-sul, Director of the MICE Division at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), business travel is expected to recover faster than general leisure travel this year," adding, "We will actively promote the discovery of corporate meeting demand and attraction to Korea through direct exchanges with domestic and foreign companies."
