The act of Mr. A abandoning the dog was fully captured on the store's closed-circuit television (CCTV). At that time, Mr. A put the dog down at the store entrance, closed the door, and left. The dog, left alone, appeared to be flustered inside the unfamiliar store for quite some time.

The dog was left alone in the store for over 10 hours. The next morning, the store owner who came to work found the dog and requested help from the animal protection organization 'Life.'

The dog is estimated to be a male mixed breed about 3 to 4 months old and is currently understood to have no health problems. The organization named the dog ‘Creami’ and began accepting adoption applications earlier this month.

Life reported Mr. A to the police. Based on the investigation of the store's internal CCTV, the police apprehended Mr. A. According to the Animal Protection Act, if an act of animal abandonment is detected, a fine of up to 3 million won can be imposed.

A police official said, "Mr. A's violation of the Animal Protection Act was recognized, and he was sent to the prosecution," adding, "It is understood that the prosecution recently requested a summary order."

Shim In-seop, the representative of Life, said, "In the past, only fines were imposed when animal abandonment was detected, but due to recent legal amendments, criminal punishment can be applied," and added, "If you witness animal abandonment, please do not ignore it and report it to the police or animal protection organizations."
