Recruitment for 'Hannongdae Academy' Trainees... Training on Tax, Legal Matters, Business Plans, etc.

General Young Farmers and Fishermen Also Eligible to Apply

Korea National University of Agriculture and Fisheries announced on the 22nd that it will begin recruiting students for the 'Hanongdae Academy' from next month to support young farmers and fishermen in settling stably in rural areas and enhancing their agricultural and fishery management capabilities.


This year, the eligibility for application has been expanded to include general young farmers and fishermen. To allow education to be accessible nationwide, both in-person classes and real-time online lectures will be offered.


Hanongdae Academy is designed to address the challenges faced by young entrepreneurs and successors in agriculture and fisheries by dividing the rural settlement process into four stages: preliminary, early startup, settlement, and growth. It operates over 20 customized educational programs covering topics such as taxation, law, management, business plan writing, smart farms, and the use of agricultural machinery.


Applicants can check the schedule for each program on the university website and apply through the university website and KakaoTalk channel starting two weeks before the commencement date of each course.


From the 23rd until the 21st of next month, Hanongdae will conduct a demand survey for desired programs and plans to additionally open programs preferred by young farmers and fishermen in the second half of this year.


Jung Hyun-chul, president of Hanongdae, stated, "According to the 2023 implementation plan for fostering successor young farmers announced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, general young farmers and fishermen will be able to receive 'Hanongdae Academy' education for the first time this year. We will spare no effort to support young farmers and fishermen to grow into elite agricultural and fishery talents who lead the future together with Hanongdae students."
