Samsung Electronics Requests Support for '2030 Busan Expo' in Laos

On the 21st (local time), Samsung Electronics met with Phoutthasay Simmalavong, Minister of Education and Sports of Laos, and Saleumsay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, to request cooperation for hosting the '2030 Busan World Expo.'


Samsung Electronics also introduced the operation plan of its representative educational social contribution program, the 'Samsung Innovation Campus,' and visited the National University of Laos, where the 'Samsung Innovation Campus' will be operated, to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for education at the 'Samsung Innovation Campus.'

The 'Samsung Innovation Campus' is Samsung Electronics' flagship global social contribution activity that nurtures talents with proactive problem-solving skills through software education such as AI, IoT, coding, and programming for youth.


Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is participating in the public-private joint '2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Committee' and is working together on hosting activities. Last September, Samsung Electronics met with Saleumsay Kommasith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos, who visited Korea, introduced Samsung Electronics' major status, and requested cooperation for hosting the '2030 Busan Expo.'
