SPC Baskin-Robbins announced on the 22nd that it will release a limited edition of ‘Black Sugar Bomb,’ which garnered top ratings from consumers even before its launch, raising expectations.
Black Sugar Bomb is a tea-flavored ice cream featuring a rich combination of sweet milk tea and savory Camembert cream cheese, adorned with a ‘black sugar’ ribbon for a full-bodied flavor.
From the product development stage, Baskin-Robbins selects products for release that receive an overall score of 5.5 or higher out of 7.0 in internal consumer evaluations based on taste satisfaction and concept. Black Sugar Bomb scored an impressive 6.2, close to the highest score, earning the nickname ‘Game Over’ among R&D center staff as the ‘ultimate taste.’
The new product is characterized by a strong visual reminiscent of a tiger, with black sugar flowing thickly like waves alongside a sweetness that spreads throughout the mouth. Enhanced with Camembert cream cheese for added uniqueness, Baskin-Robbins expects it to gain popularity as an irresistible sweet and salty combination.
