Mega Coffee announced on the 22nd that it will support Apple Pay, enabling secure payments on Apple devices, at its offline stores nationwide.
Mega Coffee explained that to reduce the burden on franchisees, the headquarters supported the early introduction of Apple Pay terminals at stores nationwide to strengthen the payment system. As a result, customers can now easily and quickly make payments with Apple Pay at over 2,400 Mega Coffee stores across the country starting from this day.
The payment method is simple. When paying with Apple Pay, double-click the side button on the Apple device, then hold the iPhone or Apple Watch close to the payment terminal to complete a contactless payment. All Apple Pay purchases are authenticated through Face ID, Touch ID, or a unique dynamic security code generated each time, ensuring safety.
When paying with credit or debit cards via Apple Pay, the card number is not stored on Apple servers or on the user's device. Instead, a unique Device Account Number (DAN) is created and securely stored after encryption in a secure element chip certified by industry standards.
To use Apple Pay, open the Wallet app on the iPhone, tap ‘Add Card (+)’, and register a credit or debit card that supports Apple Pay. Apple Pay can also be used immediately by registering cards on Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac devices.
