Three Locations Including 32 Hoam-ro 22-gil with a Total Floor Area of 2,579㎡, Accommodating 14 Companies (Teams)
Affordable Rent for Office and Startup Spaces, Providing Investment Support and Capacity Building Programs
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has established three startup spaces called 'Sillim Venture Startup Center 1, 2, and 3' in Gwanak S Valley and held an opening ceremony on the 21st to commence full operation.
The district leased and remodeled three buildings located at 32 Hoam-ro 22-gil and 46 Hoam-ro 26ga-gil in Gwanak-gu with project funding supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Seoul City to create the 'Sillim Venture Startup Center' to support venture and startup companies.
The total floor area of the three startup centers is 2,579㎡, spanning from basement level 1 to the 5th floor, with a total of 14 startup spaces accommodating between 18 and 32 people each, capable of housing a total of 303 individuals.
Resident companies at the startup centers can use the startup spaces at low costs, and the district provides investment support, capacity building programs, and collaborative projects with related organizations to lay the foundation for venture and startup companies to grow into 'global unicorn companies.'
The district expects the 'Sillim Venture Startup Center,' located near Seoul National University and Seoul National University Venture Town Station, to invigorate the venture and startup ecosystem in the Daehak-dong area based on its advantageous location.
Gwanak-gu has achieved concrete results such as being designated a 'Venture Business Promotion District' in 2022 through the 'Gwanak S Valley' project and is developing into a prominent venture and startup city with 370 companies and over 2,500 people active, thanks to continuous expansion of startup infrastructure and the influx of private companies including shared offices.
At the opening ceremony, Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “With the establishment of the Sillim Venture Startup Center, we have taken a step closer to attracting over 1,000 venture and startup companies in the region,” adding, “Based on the two major startup infrastructures, ‘Nakseong Venture Valley’ and ‘Sillim Startup Valley,’ we will complete Gwanak-gu as an innovative economic city.”

Provides Competency Diagnosis Tests and Job Mentoring by Professionals in 16 Fields
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) is newly operating an employment mentoring program called ‘Job Dundeun’ for young job seekers.
According to recent statistics from Statistics Korea, the number of young people who are ‘just resting’ without preparing for employment reached 500,000 last month, the largest in 20 years. The main reason was difficulty finding desired jobs.
In response, the district is running the ‘Job Dundeun’ program at the Munjeong Biz Valley Job Hub Center to help young job seekers strengthen their employment capabilities, gain confidence, and actively pursue employment to find their desired jobs.
The program runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m. for two hours. It has been operating online and offline since March 14 and will continue through November this year for a total of 22 sessions.
On Tuesdays, programs to enhance job-seeking capabilities are provided. Participants can learn about competency diagnosis tests, writing job applications, interview answers, resume writing, and stress management during the job preparation process.
On Thursdays, job mentoring by current professionals is conducted. In line with recent recruitment trends focusing on job competencies, professionals from 16 fields including marketing, research and development, and IT share key tasks, required competencies, and proper planning and preparation methods for employment in their respective fields.
Additionally, the district offers a wide range of services through the Munjeong Biz Valley Job Hub Center to help young people acquire various employment skills and obtain customized job information.
In particular, the one-on-one customized in-depth employment counseling service ‘Job Trennis’ provides step-by-step job services including personality and vocational psychological tests using the Enneagram, AI/VR interview experiences, and job matching. Individuals can receive support up to three sessions.
The Munjeong Biz Valley Job Hub Center operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. Those needing services or job counseling can visit the center (190, Terra Tower 1 Basement 1, 167 Songpa-daero) or contact by phone.
Mayor Seo Gang-seok of Songpa-gu said, “We will promote more diverse and creative youth employment policies so that young people can get jobs at companies they hope for in Songpa and plan a bright future.”
