‘Energetic Leap! Opening Hamyang Construction Together’ Goal
Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, established the '2023 Detailed Plan for Job Measures,' the first annual implementation plan based on the comprehensive job policy plan announced at the end of 2022 for the 8th local government term, and publicly disclosed it on the 21st on the Ministry of Employment and Labor's regional employment information network and Hamyang-gun's official website.
The county aims for "a vigorous leap forward with Hamyang construction opening together through settlement-type and customized job creation" during the 8th local government term, with a strategy to lay the foundation for expanding private sector job creation by attracting large (medium-sized) enterprises and preparing stepping stones for youth jobs in the public sector.
In particular, to create jobs tailored to the region through an analysis of Hamyang-gun's population changes, employment trends, industrial structure, regional characteristics, financial conditions, and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses) analysis of the local labor market status, a budget of 45.8 billion KRW will be invested to create 4,525 jobs in the public sector, aiming to achieve an employment rate (ages 15?64) of 74%.
The county plans to provide various jobs to residents through key job policy strategies including ▲direct job projects to create public-type jobs ▲customized employment services for job seekers and employers ▲vocational skill development and startup support ▲job infrastructure establishment to support population inflow and settlement ▲and private-led job creation through cooperation with companies.
A county official stated, "We empathize with many residents experiencing difficulties in their lives due to the recent economic recession and employment market contraction caused by interest rate hikes," and added, "We will focus all our capabilities on implementing the detailed plan to serve as a foundation for revitalizing the local economy through expanded job creation."
