Porsche's First Sports Car Homage Concept Model, First Unveiled in Asia

Porsche Korea announced on the 21st that it will unveil the ‘Vision 357’ for the first time in Asia at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, which opens on the 31st.

This car is a concept car that pays tribute to Porsche’s first sports car, the Porsche 356. Porsche is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. In line with this event, alongside the Vision 357, Porsche will also exhibit the 963 LMDh, which competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, as well as the Mission R racing concept car unveiled at the 2021 IAA. These are being shown for the first time in Korea.

Holger Geyermann, CEO of Porsche Korea, said, “We are preparing an attractive product portfolio as well as more aggressive management investments for domestic customers,” adding, “At this Seoul Mobility Show, we plan to demonstrate Porsche’s true value as a ‘modern luxury sports car’ brand through a unique lineup that offers a glimpse into Porsche’s past, present, and future.”

The Vision 357, presented as an Asia premiere, was first revealed at the 75th anniversary event held in Berlin, Germany, last January. It is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6-cylinder boxer engine that theoretically delivers a maximum output of 500 horsepower. It is designed to use eco-friendly fuel, e-fuel. The 20-inch wheels are made of magnesium. At this Seoul Mobility Show, Jung Woo-sung, a Korean designer from the design department Style Porsche, will attend and conduct the press conference personally. Frank Moser, Vice President responsible for the 911 and 718 model lines, will also visit. A total of 15 car models will be exhibited during the event.
