Energy-Vulnerable Groups, Applications Accepted Until April 29
Miryang City in Gyeongnam Province is implementing the ‘2023 Low-Income Household Electrical Facility Improvement Project’ to replace old and faulty electrical equipment.
The project targets include basic livelihood security recipients, near-poverty groups, marginalized groups (such as elderly living alone, disabled persons, single-parent families, basic pension recipients), group homes for the disabled, senior centers, and residents of rental housing.
Once the city finalizes the eligible households, the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation will visit the homes of the beneficiaries to conduct preliminary safety inspections and then support the replacement of outdated or faulty circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, outlets, and other electrical facilities.
This project is carried out as a commissioned project through a business agreement with the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation.
The city aims to support 136 households this year and is currently recruiting eligible applicants. Households wishing to apply can visit or call their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center by April 27.
Son Yunsu, Director of the Job and Economy Division, stated, “Energy-vulnerable households are easily exposed to risks of electric shock and fire due to old electrical facilities. We will do our best to establish a safe living environment for residents and improve energy welfare by preventing electrical accidents.”
For more details about the project, please visit the eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center or contact the Job and Economy Division at Miryang City Hall.
