Scheduled Launch in May During Aerospace Festival Period, Launch Site Tour
From April 21 to 23, during the 13th Goheung Space Aviation Festival held at Naro Space Center, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the launch site firsthand.
According to Goheung County, the 13th Goheung Space Aviation Festival this year will be held as a science experience festival under the theme "Star★Strange Space Travel, Welcome to Goheung," offering over 200 programs to experience.
This includes free access to various experience facilities at the Naro Space Center Space Science Museum and the National Youth Experience Center within the festival grounds. In particular, during the festival period, visitors will be able to tour the launch site where the third Nuri rocket launch, scheduled for May, will take place, adding more significance to the festival.
Applications for the Naro Space Launch Site tour can be made in advance by individuals and families through the Space Aviation Festival website from March 21 to April 19. Partial on-site registration may also be available depending on circumstances.
A county official stated, "This festival is held together with the Jeonnam Science Festival and features differentiated programs that cannot be experienced elsewhere, such as various science experiments, crafts, and VR experiences. We expect many visitors from schools and families, including elementary, middle, and high school students." He added, "We are making every effort to secure parking lots and prepare food booths featuring Goheung’s 9 delicacies to create a Goheung that visitors want to return to."
