'Luxury President' Visits Korea, Bringing Together Distribution Owners Like Shin Dong-bin and Chung Ji-sun Hyun Ji-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, is having a conversation with Bernard Arnault, Chairman of LVMH Group, at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 21st.

Jung Ji-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Department Store Group, met with Bernard Arnault, Chairman of the world's largest luxury group Louis Vuitton Mo?t Hennessy (LVMH), on the 21st to discuss cooperation plans.


On the same day, around 11:50 a.m., Chairman Jung met with Chairman Arnault, who visited the Hyundai Department Store Pangyo branch in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and after a brief conversation, they toured LVMH group brand stores together for about 50 minutes. Kim Hyung-jong, CEO of Hyundai Department Store, also accompanied them. It is known that they discussed cooperation plans with Hyundai Department Store and Hyundai Department Store Duty Free.


Chairman Jung and Chairman Arnault visited the Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Bulgari stores on the first floor, the Celine pop-up store, and the Louis Vuitton Men's and Dior Men's stores on the sixth floor. Chairman Arnault is scheduled to visit Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch and The Hyundai Seoul in the afternoon.


Previously, on the day before, Chairman Arnault met with Shin Dong-bin, Chairman of Lotte Group, at Jamsil AvenueL in Songpa-gu, Seoul. During the 2-night, 3-day schedule starting from the 20th, he is also expected to attend private events such as a visit to the Leeum Museum of Art. According to industry sources, Chairman Arnault is known to have a close relationship with Hong Ra-hee, former director of the Leeum Museum of Art, and Lee Boo-jin, President of Hotel Shilla, and Lee Seo-hyun, Chairwoman of Samsung Welfare Foundation, are also expected to attend this meeting.


Chairman Arnault is the head of LVMH, which owns brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Fendi, Celine, Tiffany & Co., and Mo?t & Chandon, and is also called the "Luxury President." At the end of last year, he ranked first in the Bloomberg billionaire index with a net worth of $170.8 billion (approximately 223 trillion KRW), making him the richest person in the world. This visit to Korea is his first in 3 years and 5 months since 2019. Delphine Arnault, Chairman Arnault's daughter and CEO of Christian Dior, accompanied him on this trip.
