Induction into the Hall of Honor for Exhibitors and Donors at the National Fire Service Museum
The Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters is accepting donations of "firefighting artifacts" to preserve firefighting history.
On the 21st, the provincial fire headquarters announced that it will carry out a campaign to collect and donate firefighting artifacts to discover items to be exhibited at the National Fire Museum, scheduled to be built in 2024 in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
This initiative aims to honor efforts for safety by finding historical materials and firefighting tools related to firefighting, displaying them in the museum, and spreading a culture of safety to visitors.

According to the provincial fire headquarters, the items to be collected and donated in 2023 include ▲special firefighting vehicles ▲small firefighting boats ▲water rescue equipment ▲firefighting helicopters ▲firefighting-related helmets, hats, badges, commemorative marks, and other firefighting-related materials including global firefighting artifacts.
Interested donors can contact the Fire Prevention and Safety Division of the Fire Headquarters to express their intention to donate, receive the materials, fill out the firefighting artifact donation application form, and send it via email to the Fire Prevention and Safety Division.
Depending on the importance of the donated artifacts, donation certificates and plaques of appreciation will be awarded, and the donation details will be registered in the Donor Hall of Fame at the National Fire Museum.
Additionally, donation ceremonies will be held for important firefighting artifacts recognized for their historical and academic value.
A representative of the provincial fire headquarters said, "We hope for much interest and participation so that firefighting artifacts with historical value can be systematically preserved and managed."
