Expanding External Expert Participation by Establishing a Game Record and Technical Advisory Platform

Utilization of Private Technical Advisory Committee Members Across Various Fields

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 21st that it will open the 'Integrated Technology Advisory Management System' to enhance the expertise and efficiency of technology evaluation, allowing private technology advisory committee members from various fields to easily participate in technology evaluation consultations online.

As of last year, Kibo registered about 1,000 external technology advisory committee members who participated as technology advisors in more than 2,000 professional technology evaluations annually. However, with the recent expansion of technology evaluation areas such as policy evaluation projects, it explained that it is now necessary to effectively operate and expand advisory committee members equipped with specialized knowledge and evaluation capabilities.

Kibo plans to build the external technology advisory participation system as an online platform that allows active participation, enabling anyone qualified to serve as an advisory committee member. In particular, the newly established system allows advisory members to directly perform external advisory registration, manage their history, conclude contracts, and submit opinion reports.

Kibo’s advisory committee qualifications include ▲ university professors (full-time faculty or higher) ▲ senior researchers at national or public research institutions ▲ patent attorneys ▲ certified public accountants ▲ PhDs in technology fields ▲ professional engineers ▲ administrative experts of grade 5 or higher public officials. Anyone can apply to register as a Kibo advisory committee member once their supporting documents are verified.

Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, said, "Through the Integrated Technology Advisory Management System, the pool of Kibo’s technology advisory personnel will expand and be revitalized, which is expected to take the expertise and fairness of technology evaluation to the next level," adding, "As a leading institution in technology evaluation, Kibo will continue to improve the system to contribute to the dynamic innovation growth led by the private sector, which is a national agenda."
