Netmarble announced on the 21st that it revealed the core gameplay of the metaverse-based real estate and board game, "Modoo Marble 2: Meta World," at the 'GDC (Game Developers Conference) 2023.'
GDC is a game conference held in San Francisco, USA, from March 20 to 24 (local time). Every year, experts from various fields such as programming, art, producing, game design, and business gather to share knowledge and know-how.
At this conference, Netmarble, through its blockchain-specialized subsidiary MARBLEX, held an offline booth and a session titled 'Metaverse Ecosystem for Game Users,' unveiling the core gameplay of "Modoo Marble 2: Meta World," which is scheduled for global release (excluding Korea and some other countries) in the first half of this year.
The session introduced detailed features including an avatar system that allows players to express their individuality within the game, board game elements that inherit the strategic board gameplay of the previous title in a more enhanced form, the metaverse space "Meta World" based on actual cadastral maps, various buildings and character cards, the flow of game currency and token economy, and future plans.
In "Modoo Marble 2: Meta World," the game token "Inetrium (ITU)" will be utilized. Users can earn "Meta Cash" through board game play, character card growth, and rewards within the Meta World, which can be swapped for "Inetrium." "Inetrium" can then be exchanged for the public token "MBX" via the MBX ecosystem bridge token "MBXL."
