Shin Woo-cheol, Wando County Governor, Officially Launches Efforts to Resolve Current Issues

Expressing the Necessity of Visiting Central Government Ministries and Actively Requesting Cooperation

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do is moving swiftly by visiting central government departments and the National Assembly to secure next year’s government budget and propose the inclusion of major pending projects in the national plan.

On the 15th, County Governor Shin Woo-cheol met consecutively with Im Gi-geun, Budget General Review Officer of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, and Park Jeong-min, Director of the Agriculture, Forestry and Marine Budget Division, to explain the necessity of the pending projects.


In particular, he actively requested support for △ construction of the Wando?Goheung Coastal Tourism Road △ establishment of the National Maritime Fisheries Museum △ establishment of a Marine Bio Smart Factory △ early establishment of the National Subtropical Arboretum △ conducting a preliminary feasibility study for the second phase of the Gwangju?Wando Expressway.


Additionally, on the 16th and 17th, he visited the National Assembly to meet with National Assembly member Yoon Jae-gap and Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee member Maeng Seong-gyu, among others, to request support for the inclusion of major pending projects in next year’s national budget, putting effort into advancing these projects.


Governor Shin Woo-cheol stated, “Since securing the budget is difficult due to the government’s sound fiscal policy, timely and strategic responses are important. We will concentrate administrative efforts to secure the national budget ahead of the government’s budget order and period, so that pending projects can proceed without setbacks.”
