LG Electronics Signs Business Agreement with Bayada to Strengthen Home Healthcare Business

Strengthening Collaboration in Joint Business Development and Product Sales in the Home Healthcare Sector

LG Electronics is partnering with a home healthcare specialist company that provides visiting nursing and care services.

On the 21st, LG Electronics announced that it recently signed a business agreement with Bayada Home Healthcare (hereinafter Bayada), a visiting nursing and care specialist company, to utilize LG Medipain, a medical device for chronic pain relief, in the field of visiting nursing.

Bayada, headquartered in the United States, is a care specialist company that provides home healthcare services such as visiting nursing, visiting care, and customized health management.

Through this agreement, LG Electronics will strengthen cooperation with Bayada for joint business development and product sales in various programs including medical professional visiting nursing and visiting care services using LG Medipain.

Bayada is also considering introducing visiting and remote nursing services, as well as usage training and consultation programs, for customers who purchase LG Medipain.

LG Medipain is a medical device that alleviates chronic pain in various parts of the body, providing relief for chronic pain that persists without a specific cause or even after treatment completion. It applies a non-invasive pain relief method equivalent to the non-invasive painless signal therapy used in hospitals and has obtained official certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

It guides users on how to use the device through screen and voice instructions for easy use, and it also features the ability to record the pain relief process by registering pain levels before and after use in the device.

Especially due to the nature of chronic pain, patients often use medical devices by themselves at home, and if visiting nursing staff can directly instruct these customers on usage, it is expected to improve customer convenience and satisfaction.

The two companies are also exploring various cooperation plans to expand the sales channels of LG Electronics' personal medical devices, including LG Medipain and the hair loss treatment device LG Pra.L MediHair, in the U.S. market where visiting and remote nursing services are active.

LG Pra.L MediHair is a hair loss improvement medical device applying low-level laser therapy (LLLT) technology, approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and the U.S. FDA.

Nam Hye-sung, Executive Director of Home Beauty Business at LG Electronics HE Business Division, said, "Through this agreement, the unique advantages of LG Medipain as a 'convenient home medical device' will shine even more," adding, "We will strive to enhance accessibility and satisfaction for customers who face difficulties in chronic pain treatment due to physical or economic reasons."
