CJ CheilJedang announced on the 21st that it will launch a new frozen soup product, 'Bibigo Bon Galbitang.'
Bibigo frozen soup products are made by applying the dedication and know-how of soup artisans discovered by researchers who traveled to famous traditional restaurants nationwide for two years. The soup is made by directly simmering meat or vegetable broth in a large pot, resulting in a deep and natural flavor. Optimal processing methods are applied to each meat cut to preserve the juice while keeping the texture tender.
The new product, Bibigo Bon Galbitang, features carefully selected bon galbi cuts, mainly used for grilling, characterized by thick, meaty flesh. It is sliced in the style of LA galbi, making it easy to remove the bones while eating. Based on Bibigo’s unique broth extraction technology, great care was also taken with the soup. Six kinds of vegetables and mushrooms, including neungi mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, nabakmu (water kimchi radish), onions, garlic, and green onions, were simmered directly, and the fat from the ribs was meticulously removed to create a clean and light taste. The broth was frozen immediately after boiling vigorously to capture the fresh flavor as if it were just cooked at a renowned restaurant.
To commemorate the launch, a special event will be held on the official mall CJ The Market until the 9th of next month. During the pre-order period until the 27th, single items can be purchased at a 15% discount, and bundles of three at a 20% discount. Customers who purchase over 20,000 KRW including Bibigo Bon Galbitang will be entered into a draw to win one of three MediCube Age-R Water Glow Therapy sets worth approximately 800,000 KRW. A product review event will also be held, where 10 participants will be selected by lottery to receive a Bon Galbi set (3kg) worth about 90,000 KRW.
A CJ CheilJedang representative said, “Bibigo Bon Galbitang is a product that combines deep flavor and convenience by including bon galbi with lean meat attached in a clean broth, cut for easy eating. Based on our competitiveness in pioneering the ready-to-eat soup market, we plan to continue introducing various menus and focus on growing the frozen category.”
