LG CNS Launches Cloud Cost Diagnosis Service 'FinOps Clinic'

LG CNS announced on the 21st that it has launched the ‘FinOps Clinic’ service to optimize customers' cloud costs.

To address customers' difficulties in managing cloud costs, LG CNS developed the ‘FinOps Clinic,’ which incorporates the cost management expertise of MSPs (Managed Service Providers). ‘FinOps’ is a portmanteau of ‘Finance’ and ‘DevOps,’ referring to a service that systematically manages cloud usage costs by closely integrating finance and cloud operations.

The FinOps Clinic service consists of three stages: ▲Information Provision ▲Optimization ▲Operation. Through the information provision service, LG CNS offers customers an integrated view of their multi-cloud usage status and costs, along with a monitoring program to support this. Multi-cloud refers to using multiple CSPs (Cloud Service Providers) such as AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud, depending on business characteristics, rather than being dependent on a single CSP.

LG CNS has significantly strengthened its dedicated FinOps Clinic team by deploying numerous cloud cost management experts. Recently, through the actual application of the FinOps Clinic, cost-saving cases have been created. Company A, using AWS cloud infrastructure, improved resource usage patterns through the FinOps Clinic and reduced costs by more than 20%. Company B also reduced cloud costs by over 30% after three months of work, applying power scheduling from the cloud resource creation stage and enhancing backup cloud capabilities.
