GS25 Joins Voucher Support Program for Vulnerable Groups..."Expanding ESG Activities"

GS25 announced on the 21st that it is expanding its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities by participating in various voucher projects, including the ‘Mom and Dad Happiness Project’ with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the pilot project for the ‘Milk Voucher’ with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Convenience store GS25, operated by GS Retail, has been the first in the industry to support the Seoul city parenting support project ‘Mom and Dad Happiness Project’ since last year. It has provided ‘Our Neighborhood GS Club One Meal’ subscription vouchers to parents living in Seoul, allowing them to purchase lunch boxes, ready meals, salads, and other food items at a 20% discounted price.

Starting this month, in addition to the Our Neighborhood GS Club One Meal service, a Cafe 25 subscription service has been added, expanding the benefits so that not only parents but also their children can use the service. The registration held last month received such a great response that it was closed on the same day. Furthermore, GS25 is participating in the ‘Milk Voucher’ project, which supports children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 in purchasing dairy products. Additionally, GS25 is expanding ESG activities in various ways with local governments and government agencies, beginning with the industry’s first establishment and expansion of an online payment system for child meal cards.

GS25 continuously participates in various voucher projects such as the National Happiness Card, Child Meal Card, Women and Youth Sanitary Products, Fruit Voucher, Snack Voucher, and Education Office Hope Meal Voucher. Customers eligible for voucher projects can visit GS25 to purchase supported products and pay with the corresponding card. If the product is not eligible, customers can easily check availability at the checkout counter.
