Rupert Murdoch (92), known as a 'media tycoon,' is reportedly preparing for his fifth marriage, according to the New York Post on the 20th (local time).
The outlet reported that Murdoch is engaged to Ann Lesley Smith (66), a former chaplain at the San Francisco Police Department.
Murdoch said, "I was afraid of falling in love, but I knew this would be the last time," adding, "I am happy."
Murdoch is scheduled to officially marry Smith this summer.
Murdoch, who owns famous media outlets including Fox News, the highest-rated news channel, and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), divorced his fourth wife, former model Jerry Hall (66), last June. Hall was the wife of Mick Jagger, the vocalist of the rock band The Rolling Stones.
Murdoch is known to have met Smith in September last year.
Smith was the wife of Chester Smith, an American singer and businessman who passed away in 2008.
Previously, Murdoch had six children with his divorced spouses.
Murdoch divorced his first wife, a former model, in 1965, and maintained a marriage of over 30 years with his second wife, a former newspaper reporter, but they eventually separated.
At that time, Murdoch reportedly paid 700 million pounds (approximately 1.1 trillion won) in alimony.
Murdoch married his third wife, Wendy Deng, who was 30 years old at the time, when he was 68 in 1999, but they divorced in 2013.
