A business owner who operated an illegal entertainment establishment where hundreds of people could drink alcohol after registering it as a regular restaurant with the district office was caught.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul booked a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on the 4th for operating an entertainment facility without a license.
He reported his establishment in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, to the district office as a regular restaurant. However, he is suspected of actually running it as a place where people could dance and drink alcohol.
At the time of the crackdown, it was reported that about 200 people had gathered there. The police plan to continue intensive crackdowns in cooperation with the district office.
