Gyeongnam Office of Education to Use Gyeongnam Education Happiness Card Points for Low-Income Students' Education Expenses

Since 2003, NH Nonghyup-BC Card Partnership

This Year Over 1.49 Billion KRW, Total Exceeding 16.1 Billion KRW

The Gyeongnam Office of Education received 1,494,343,434 KRW in accumulated points from the Gyeongnam Education Happiness Card usage from NH Nonghyup Bank.


According to the provincial Office of Education, the Gyeongnam Education Happiness Card is a card operated through a partnership established in 2003 between the provincial Office of Education, Nonghyup, and BC Card.


One percent of the usage amount of corporate cards at educational institutions within the province is allocated as revenue for the Gyeongnam Office of Education and supports student welfare.


The accumulated points for 2022 increased by about 270 million KRW compared to the previous year, and the total accumulated points since 2003 have reached 16.133 billion KRW.

The provincial Office of Education stated that all received accumulated points were fully used to support student education and welfare, and this year's accumulated points are planned to be used for educational expense support projects for low-income families.


Superintendent Park Jong-hoon said, “The Gyeongnam Education Happiness Card welfare project has been a great support for educational cooperation projects for Gyeongnam education and Gyeongnam students,” and added, “We will do our best to realize warmer educational welfare policies.”
