A memorial exhibition marking the first anniversary of the late Kang Soo-yeon, who passed away last May, will be held.
According to the Kang Soo-yeon Memorial Project Committee on the 20th, the memorial exhibition titled "Kang Soo-yeon, Gloriously for a Long Time" will take place on May 6 at the Korean Film Archive and from May 7 to 9 at Megabox Seongsu.
At the Korean Film Archive, three films will be screened: "Go Alone Like the Horn of a Rhinoceros" (1995), "Dinner Among Virgin Girls" (1998), and "Drawing the Moonlight" (2010).
At Megabox Seongsu, eight films will be shown from the opening ceremony on the 7th through the 9th: "Sibaji" (1986), "Mimi and Cheolsu's Youth Sketch" (1987), "Aje Aje Bara Aje" (1989), "The Road to the Racetrack" (1991), "Blue Inside You" (1992), "Trout" (1999), "Juri" (2013), and "Jeong-i" (2023).
Additionally, there will be GV (Guest Visits) sessions and stage greetings with actors, directors, critics, and filmmakers who participated in the works.
The Kang Soo-yeon Memorial Project Committee is composed of 29 film industry professionals who worked with the late actress during her lifetime, including her younger sister Kang Soo-kyung, Honorary Chairman Director Im Kwon-taek, Chairman Kim Dong-ho, Vice Chairpersons Park Joong-hoon and Ye Ji-won.
The committee is also preparing an official memorial publication, aiming for release at the end of April.
