Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju to Establish an 'Integrated Care Service Network' with No Blind Spots

Agreement Signed with 11 Local Organizations

Gwangsan District of Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Park Byeong-gyu) is launching the establishment of a ‘Gwangsan-type Integrated Care Service Network’ without blind spots in collaboration with 11 local organizations.


On the 20th, Gwangsan District announced that as the first step of the ‘Gwangju+ Gwangsan-type Integrated Care Project,’ it signed a win-win business agreement with 8 service providers and 3 partner organizations.

The service providers include ▲Gwangsan District Comprehensive Home Care Center (Center Director Na Bo-gyeong) ▲Eodeung Regional Self-Support Center (Center Director Sim Hyun) ▲Gwangsan Regional Self-Support Center (Center Director Lee Jin-seong) ▲Healthy Meal Social Cooperative (Chairperson Kim Young-sook) ▲Gwangju Medical Welfare Social Cooperative (Chairperson Park Byeong-gi) ▲Korea Association of Long-Term Care Institutions for the Elderly, Gwangsan Branch (Branch Director Seo Gyeong-ja) ▲Songgwang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Kim Jae-jin) ▲Hanam Comprehensive Social Welfare Center (Director Ryu Jae-jung).


Starting from the 1st of next month, the project will fully implement the ‘Gwangju+ Gwangsan-type Integrated Care Project’s 7 major services (housekeeping, meals, accompaniment, health, safety, housing, temporary protection)’ and provide specialized services operated by Gwangsan District such as hospital accompaniment for vulnerable health groups called ‘Hueblence,’ home oral care and nursing support, village meal cafes, and service fulfillment.


Additionally, ▲Daewoong S&T ▲Gwangsan District Community Security Council (CEO and Private Committee Chair Kang Yong-seon) ▲Together Sharing Culture Foundation (Chairman Yang Dong-ho) will actively support the smooth operation of Hueblence as partner organizations.


Park Byeong-gyu, Mayor of Gwangsan District, emphasized, “Building on the know-how and capabilities accumulated over several years, we will expand the Gwangsan-type integrated care model, currently operated mainly in the Usan area, to the entire district. This win-win agreement will be the starting point for establishing a ‘Gwangsan-type Care Service Network’ that any citizen in need of care can use with peace of mind.”
