POSCO Construction to Change Signboard to POSCO E&C

POSCO Construction, which is approaching its 30th anniversary next year, will change its name to POSCO E&C.

POSCO Construction announced on the 20th that it decided to change its name to POSCO E&C at the regular shareholders' meeting held on the same day. The company explained that E&C stands for 'Eco,' symbolizing a clean and eco-friendly future society like nature, and 'Challenge,' representing the pursuit of higher values in life.

Additionally, POSCO E&C reflects the image of 'Green Life With The Sharp,' a premium eco-friendly brand initiative that has been promoted since last year to solidify its position.

At the 'New Name Declaration Ceremony' held at the Incheon Songdo headquarters after the shareholders' meeting, CEO Han Sung-hee emphasized, “POSCO E&C will serve as a central force in building an eco-friendly future society and achieve greater growth and leap forward as a sustainable company.”

With this name change, POSCO Construction plans to strengthen its EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) competitiveness in the low-carbon steel sector, including hydrogen reduction steelmaking and secondary battery raw materials. Furthermore, it aims to secure a leading position in the renewable energy market and commercialize the Green Life residential model, significantly expanding its eco-friendly and future growth businesses to establish itself as a global leader.
