The Bank of Korea announced on the 20th that it plans to recruit the Director of the Economic Research Institute through an internal and external open call.
The Director of the Economic Research Institute serves as the Bank of Korea's Chief Economist, responsible for setting the overall mid- to long-term research directions and themes, as well as coordinating research among departments.
The position is a comprehensive planning staff (contract) at the highest grade, with a contract period of three years. The compensation and benefits level correspond to that of a Deputy Governor.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have at least 15 years of work experience after obtaining the doctorate at the Bank of Korea, domestic or foreign universities, research institutions, or international organizations. Experts in central bank-related research fields such as monetary finance and macroeconomics are preferred.
Applicants must submit their application documents via email by the 5th of next month, and interviews will be conducted only for those who pass the document screening.
