Playing a Key Role as a Catalyst for Regional Settlement
Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that it will implement the ‘Youth Startup Support Project’ to expand settlement opportunities for young people and promote the influx of young population.
The ‘Youth Startup Support Project’ is a program that provides practical costs necessary for young people residing in Gangjin-gun to start a business, delivering hope to local youth and contributing to job creation and regional revitalization through the influx of young population.

The Youth Startup Support Project has a total budget of 150 million KRW and will select about seven young people to support various necessary expenses such as business site interior, environmental improvement, promotional material production, and installation of advanced facilities required for startups, with support amounts up to 20 million KRW per person.
Eligibility requirements are young people aged 19 to 45 as of the application date, who have been registered residents of Gangjin-gun for more than six months as of the announcement date.
Youth wishing to apply for the project should visit the town or township office (General Affairs Team) where the project site is located by the 13th of next month and submit the application form, business plan, and other required documents.
Gang Jin-won, the county governor, said, “The region thrives when young people live here, and the boom in economic revitalization gains strong momentum. We will do our best to support youth startups to ensure stable settlement and foundation for young people, making Gangjin a happy place where youth want to live.”
Meanwhile, after the first document screening and the second on-site inspection of business locations, the final project recipients will be selected as youth startup candidates through a review committee composed of experts in each field by next month.
