SK Chemicals Hosts 'Plastic Recycling Story' Contest for Domestic and International University Students

Select 4 Teams for a 1-2 Month Challenge
Build Storylines with SK Chemical Employees
Applications Open Until April 10... Total Prize Money 10 Million KRW

Chemical company SK Chemicals has launched a call for slogan and catchphrase ideas from university students to build a plastic recycling ecosystem.


On the 20th, SK Chemicals announced that it will hold the Recycling Story University Student Contest "Green Light to the Recycling Ecosystem" (hereinafter referred to as the Contest).


Any student enrolled in domestic or international universities can participate. Applications can be submitted online until April 10. Those who wish to participate can apply by writing tasks such as catchphrases about the recycling business, recycling storylines, and detailed campaign programs to implement them.


Jaehyun Ahn, President of SK Chemicals, said, "This contest was planned to gather opinions from general consumers who directly consume plastic and young people, and to build consensus on the necessity of the recycling business."


He added, "Based on the vivid and creative ideas of university student participants, we will carry out various activities to promote the importance of building a recycling ecosystem and consumer culture."

SK Chemicals plans to select four teams from the contest participants and assign a second challenge task in the form of a 1-2 month challenge. The challenge teams will participate in the final evaluation by working with SK Chemicals members to build storylines and detailed campaign plans based on detailed information about the direction of the recycling business.


In the final evaluation involving SK Chemicals members and experts, the team selected as first place will receive 5 million won, the second place team will receive 3 million won, and the third and fourth place teams will each receive 1 million won in prize money.
