Through the Kakao AlimTalk medical appointment service, Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital provides services such as ▲simple medical appointments (including new and initial visits) ▲appointment changes and cancellations ▲patient information registration and updates ▲finding outpatient departments and center phone numbers.
The Kakao AlimTalk medical appointment service allows patients to make, change, or cancel appointments via AlimTalk messages sent by the hospital without the need to sign up on the hospital website or web portal. Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital explained that new (initial) patients can receive all services related to medical appointments through AlimTalk without using the hospital website or web portal.
Han Woo-jung, head of the administration team at Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital, said, "Patients can complete all appointment and registration procedures on their mobile devices without going through the hospital's administrative reception and payment counters, minimizing movement within the hospital." He added, "Previously, when doctors were on leave or resigned, patients with existing appointments had to change their reservations through the call center, but now patients can easily change or cancel appointments via AlimTalk, significantly reducing hospital administrative workload."
Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital plans to provide additional services related to admission and discharge procedures, such as mobile payment for appointments and tests, and medical fee receipts, through Kakao AlimTalk in the future.
Kim Tae-ho, CEO of Vitamin, the developer of the Kakao AlimTalk medical appointment service, emphasized, "The AlimTalk medical appointment service is designed to be securely used by applying a three-step security system, encryption, and access restriction systems for special environments, enhancing security."
