On the 20th, Pablo Aviation, a company specializing in UAM integrated control and mobility delivery, announced that it is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO).
They have selected Daishin Securities as the lead underwriter and will officially begin the IPO process, aiming for a technology-specialized KOSDAQ listing in the second half of 2024.
Founded in 2018, Pablo Aviation is a company at the forefront of drone delivery and UAM commercialization. It is a startup possessing next-generation smart mobility integrated control technology and drone swarm technology. The smart mobility integrated control system is a core technology of Pablo Aviation and a key infrastructure for future smart cities. This technology enables integrated control of aerial mobility such as drones and UAM, including land and maritime logistics, and won consecutive runner-up awards at the AUVSI XPONENTIAL international unmanned vehicle exhibition in 2021 and 2022.
In July last year, Pablo Aviation opened the nation’s first drone delivery center and has been continuously providing convenience store goods delivery services. Additionally, it successfully completed Korea’s first urban beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone delivery demonstration project, led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, achieving a total of 207 flights and an accumulated distance of 1,909 km. Through this, it secured data to establish a drone delivery service management system and urban drone delivery safety standards.
Based on its know-how in developing the smart mobility integrated control system, Pablo Aviation is participating in the K-UAM (Korean Urban Air Mobility) Grand Challenge and is committed to building the UAM ecosystem. It is currently developing a UAM traffic management platform with LG Uplus and plans to develop a UAM vertiport operation system with GS Construction.
After establishing its U.S. branch in June 2021, Pablo Aviation became the first drone startup to successfully conduct a logistics delivery demonstration project in the U.S. through an agreement with the New York UAS Test Site (NUAIR) last year. It is currently carrying out an urban flight safety project led by NASA. Possessing drone swarm technology, Pablo Aviation set a Guinness World Record last September with 511 fireworks drones.
Kim Young-jun, CEO of Pablo Aviation, expressed his thoughts on the IPO preparations, stating, “Through the public offering, we will secure funds for technology development to build the foundation of the future mobility ecosystem and grow into an innovative company leading the drone delivery and UAM markets.”
