Alpenroute 'Valley of Snow' Festival Viewing Available
Hana Tour announced on the 20th that it will offer a limited sale of travel packages using a "Toyama direct charter flight" timed to coincide with the opening period of the massive snow walls of the Alpen Route, known as the Japanese Alps.
The biggest attraction of the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpen Route, Asia's largest mountain course that passes through Japan's Northern Alps Tateyama, is the gigantic snow walls called the "Great Snow Valley," which open for only two months a year from April to mid-June. The snow accumulated throughout the winter is not cleared, creating enormous snow walls up to 20 meters high on both sides of the road, and a festival is held annually.
Hana Tour operates the closest direct route, the Toyama charter flight, in cooperation with T'way Air during April and May to coincide with the festival period. Travel packages using this charter flight for the Alpen Route are also being offered.
The 4-day Alpen Route and Toyama package includes sightseeing of the Alpen Route and the Great Snow Valley snow walls, visiting the World Heritage village Shirakawago, and Genrokuen, known as one of Japan's three great gardens. Guests stay at a hot spring hotel and can also experience kaiseki cuisine.
Hana Tour offers the newly upgraded package "Hana Pack 2.0," which allows travelers to fully focus on their trip without group shopping, additional expenses, or optional tours. Early booking benefits, including up to a 100,000 KRW discount, are available for customers who reserve at least 45 days before departure.
The Incheon-Toyama package departs a total of 9 times: 5 times in April and 4 times in May. The Busan-Toyama package, operated 4 times in May, is a Hana Tour exclusive charter flight with 188 seats secured.
