Pingolf G430 HL "Ultra-Lightweight Driver"

Ping Golf has introduced the ultra-lightweight version of the G430 HL (High Launch) driver. The manufacturer explained, "We have maintained the maximum forgiveness, technology, and design of the existing G430 driver," and added, "We increased the distance by making it ultra-lightweight."

The G430 HL driver features a face made using improved forging and VFT (Variable Face Thickness) technology. The material is forged T9S+ titanium. This power delivers higher repulsion, achieving the greatest distance increase ever. It is also notable that the spin consistency technology, previously applied to the G425 woods and hybrids, has been adopted for the first time in a driver. This allows for excellent distance even on mishits. The Turbulator, a core Ping driver technology that reduces air resistance, is also retained.

The G430 HL driver’s entire head is made stronger to provide a pleasant impact feel and sound. When stiffness increases relative to weight, the sound changes. The curvature of bending parts such as the crown, sole, and skirt of the head was adjusted to increase stiffness. Additionally, to suppress the spread of internal sound at impact, the acoustic rib was completely redesigned in a different form to improve both the impact sound and feel.

The G430 HL driver is equipped with a trajectory tuning hosel that allows adjustment of loft and lie angles in 8 different settings. All models feature a matte black design, making the head look sleeker. The standard shaft is the high-elasticity, ultra-lightweight Fujikura Speeder NX shaft. Shaft options include the NX 35 in the 30g range and the NX 45 in the 40g range. With HL-exclusive lightweight shot-shape adjustment weights, this model is optimized for female golfers with fast swing speeds or male golfers with slower swing speeds.
