"Farther, More Consistently."
Titleist has newly introduced the 2023 models of the 3-piece Pro V1 and 4-piece Pro V1x. Titleist stated, "These new products are made on a two-year cycle," and proudly added, "They embody all the performance and consistency expected from a golf ball, from the teeing ground to the green."
The high-gradient core is the key technology. The hardness of the material changes from the center of the core outward. The inside of the core is soft, gradually becoming firmer toward the surface. The power applied to the golf ball at impact is efficiently transmitted to the center of the ball, creating faster ball speed. The closer the force applied during a full swing is delivered to the center of the ball, the less the ball twists. This leads to reduced spin, resulting in increased distance and stable ball flight.
The Pro V1x features a larger dual core. The diameter of the inner core has increased from 2.54 cm to 2.87 cm. The high-flex casing layer, located between the core and the urethane cover, provides excellent distance and greenside spin control.
The cover is made of soft thermoset urethane material. Manufactured using a cast process, it offers incomparable soft and delicate feel and spin control. It features a spherical tetrahedral dimple design for consistent ball flight. The Pro V1 has 388 tetrahedral dimples, while the Pro V1x has 348.
The Pro V1 is characterized by a lower trajectory that cuts through the wind and a soft feel. The Pro V1x produces a slightly higher trajectory and more spin than the Pro V1. It is suitable for golfers who prefer a solid feel.
