SK Gas and Shinhan Bank to Promote New Business Combining Finance and Energy

SK Gas and Shinhan Bank to Promote New Business Combining Finance and Energy

SK Gas Co., Ltd. is expanding its win-win program for LPG users into the financial services sector.

SK Gas announced on the 20th that it has signed a 'Strategic Business Agreement for Promoting New Financial and Energy Convergence Businesses and Expanding ESG Management' with Shinhan Bank.

The main contents of this business agreement include ▲ launching savings products for SK Gas Happy Charging Membership customers ▲ launching loan products for individual taxi operators ▲ providing financial services through LPG filling station sites ▲ planning ESG-specialized products using financial and non-financial data, which will be concretized through future collaboration.

Financial products and services for win-win cooperation with customers will be launched as soon as the standards and targets are finalized. They will be provided through Shinhan Bank's SOL app, website, and the SK LPG Happy Charging Membership website. Both companies plan to continue promoting various new businesses and customer win-win programs going forward.

An SK Gas official said, "We have been steadily implementing win-win support programs with customers, such as fuel cost support for small business owners and taxi drivers," adding, "This win-win program is meaningful in that it goes beyond simple fuel cost support by connecting the financial benefits of Shinhan Bank, the nation's top financial institution, to many customers using filling stations, thereby providing the benefits customers need."

A Shinhan Bank official said, "This agreement is meaningful in that both companies share a consensus on the most important values of customer-centricity and customer win-win," and added, "We will continue to practice beneficial ESG management for customers in line with the government's carbon neutrality policy direction together with SK Gas."
