Gyeonggi Fire Department, Event to Promote Participation in Hometown Love Donation Program The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will hold an event until the 20th of next month to promote participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program.

The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters is conducting an event in collaboration with Hyundai Easywell, the operator of the Gyeonggi-do Welfare Mall, to present small prizes in order to promote participation in the 'Hometown Love Donation System.'

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that from the 20th of this month to the 20th of next month, those who sign up as members on the Hometown Love e-um website (www.ilovegohyang.go.kr) and make donations online or offline, then enter the Well-being Center Hometown Donation Certification Event, will receive small prizes.

A representative from the Fire and Disaster Headquarters explained the background, saying, "The Gyeonggi Fire Department is holding this event to ensure the successful establishment of the Hometown Love Donation System and to spread a donation culture among all residents."

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System, implemented since January this year, allows individuals to donate to local governments other than their registered residence. The local governments use the donation funds to create a Hometown Love Fund, which is used to improve residents' welfare by supporting vulnerable groups and youth.

Individuals can donate up to 5 million KRW annually, with donations up to 100,000 KRW fully tax-deductible. Amounts exceeding 100,000 KRW receive a 16.5% tax deduction. Donors can receive thank-you gifts such as local specialties within 30% of the donation amount.
