Asiana Airlines Provides 'Travel Kit' to Passengers Traveling with Pets

Asiana Airlines announced on the 20th that it will run the ‘OZ Pet Travel’ promotion for pet family travelers who travel with their dogs.

‘OZ Pet Travel’ is Asiana Airlines’ dog companion service that will run for three months from the 26th to June 25. During this period, passengers traveling with their dogs will receive a free 'Pet Travel Kit' consisting of ▲dog food ▲snacks ▲toys ▲foldable bowls.

Through this 'OZ Pet Travel,' Asiana Airlines will provide a kit consisting of high-protein nutritious food from ‘The Real,’ a premium brand of Harim Pet Food, and various snacks to passengers traveling with dogs on domestic flights to help recover from travel fatigue that may occur after the flight.

For passengers on international flights, the kit includes animal-friendly designed plush toys and portable foldable dishes made by ‘Modni Pet,’ a pet supplies specialist company. The plan is to help maintain the condition and emotional care of dogs that may be exhausted from long flights.

The kit can be received at Asiana Airlines’ domestic counter at Gimpo Airport and international counter at Incheon Airport upon departure. Despite overseas travel restrictions due to COVID-19, the number of passengers traveling with pets on Asiana Airlines has steadily increased over the past three years. In fact, the number of pet transports recorded about a 9% increase from 23,000 transports in 2019 before COVID-19 to 25,000 in 2022.

An Asiana Airlines representative said, “We will continue to expand pet services reflecting the needs of pet family travelers, including this ‘OZ Pet Travel’ promotion.”

Meanwhile, in line with the increasing trend of travelers accompanied by pets, Asiana Airlines expanded the standards for pet transport in 2017. In addition, various services related to pets are being provided, such as expanding designated seats for pets and manufacturing and selling in-cabin pet cages.
