Isoyoung Lee and Yumin Hwang Lead Lotte to Victory in Golf Club Competition

So-Young Lee (26) and Yu-Min Hwang (20), representing the Lotte Golf Team, claimed the top spot at the event tournament 'The Ocean Beach Condo & Ballistic Cup Golf Team Competition (total prize money 60 million KRW)'.

On the final day of the tournament held on the 19th at The Ocean Country Club (CC, Par 72) in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, the Lotte Golf Team recorded one eagle and ten birdies, reducing their score by 12 strokes to finish with a total of 23 under par 193 strokes, securing the championship trophy. They edged out Dongbu Construction, led by Su-Ji Kim (27) and Han-Sol Ji (27), who finished at 19 under par 197 strokes, by 4 strokes. The winning prize money was 30 million KRW. Angang Construction (Si-Won Kim, Jin-Hee Lim, Ye-Seong Jeon), Samchully (Ji-Won Ko, Da-Som Ma, Do-Young Park, Ga-Bin Choi), and Korea Land Trust (Ji-Young Park, Hyun-Kyung Park, Ah-Yeon Jo) tied for third place with a total of 17 under par 199 strokes.

This tournament was an event held ahead of next month's Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour opening, featuring players from 12 teams. The first and second rounds were played in a modified foursome (green some) format, and the final round was conducted in a scramble format. Over the three days, there were 5 eagles and 232 birdies, with 4 eagles and 117 birdies on the last day alone.

So-Young Lee and Yu-Min Hwang achieved a 'wire-to-wire' victory, never relinquishing the lead throughout the three days of the tournament. So-Young Lee said, "During last night's meeting, we decided to play aggressively," adding, "We were able to win because we covered each other's mistakes well during play." She also mentioned, "Winning in odd-numbered years is my goal for this season." Yu-Min Hwang, who teamed up with her, expressed her determination, saying, "As a rookie entering my first season, I hope to adapt well and definitely win."

All 2,500 tickets for the tournament were sold out, drawing great popularity. The Ocean Beach Condo and Ballistic Golf organized a charity zone event with the players, accumulating Ballistic gift certificates and water park tickets worth a total of 36 million KRW. These will be used afterward to support young golf hopefuls and vulnerable groups.
