Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is launching customized support for new small business owners who are struggling due to high inflation and high interest rates.
On the 19th, Buk-gu announced that it will promote the ‘Small Business Startup Package Support Project’ as a new policy this year to help startup small business owners successfully settle and sustain their businesses.
This project will be carried out using the ‘People’s Livelihood Economic Win-Win Recovery Fund,’ which was established as the first approval of the 8th local government administration to provide comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of small business owners, supporting 140 small businesses in the district.
First, an easy-to-understand guidebook introducing various support projects, consulting, debt adjustment systems, and other startup and management information will be produced and distributed.
Additionally, to promote sales, customized promotional materials worth up to 200,000 KRW per business will be provided, and marketing costs for online and offline activities such as e-commerce platforms, detailed page production, and logo/design creation will be supported up to 500,000 KRW.
Furthermore, success case workshops and visits to startup fairs will be conducted to share successful know-how, and expert consulting and information on support policies will be actively provided.
Small business owners wishing to apply for support can visit the Small Business Support Division of Buk-gu Office or apply by mail or email (onthesunset@korea.kr).
Director Moon In said, “Through this project, we hope that local small business owners, the grassroots economic agents, will succeed in starting their businesses and settle stably,” adding, “We will continue to implement various support measures for small business owners to revitalize the local economy.”
