An Byeong-hun lost 2 strokes on the third day of the Valspar Championship (total prize money $8.1 million) on the PGA Tour, dropping to a tie for 25th place.
On the 19th, An Byeong-hun recorded a 2-over-par 73 with 1 birdie and 3 bogeys in the third round of the tournament held at the Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course (par 71) in Palm Harbor, Florida, USA. With a total score of 1-under-par 212, he was tied for 25th place along with Sam Burns (USA). This was a 13-place drop from his 12th place position the previous day. He was 3 strokes behind the joint 10th place, keeping the possibility of entering the 'Top 10' open depending on the final day's results. He has yet to win on the PGA Tour but finished tied for 4th at the Fortinet Championship in September last year, the opening event of the 2022-2023 season, making the Top 10.
Adam Schenk (USA) led alone with 8-under-par 205. Schenk is aiming for his first win since joining the PGA Tour in 2018. Jordan Spieth (USA) and Tommy Fleetwood (England) are tied for 2nd place, 1 stroke behind Schenk. Webb Simpson and Taylor Moore (both USA) are tied for 4th place with 6-under-par 207.
Meanwhile, among other Korean players, Kim Seong-hyeon is tied for 45th place with 1-over-par 214, and Lee Kyeong-hoon is tied for 68th place with 4-over-par 217.
