The association is organized by gathering the chairpersons of city and county associations representing school operation committee chairpersons across the province to strengthen bonds among them and to serve as a channel for hearing opinions related to Gyeongnam education.

On this day, the chairpersons and executives read a resolution for the prevention and eradication of school violence and received training on school violence prevention from the responsible department of the provincial Office of Education.

Han Yang-sang, the association chairperson, said, "We must foster a sense of community in schools, families, and workplaces so that our children, the future generation's protagonists, do not fall outside the interest of the local community," adding, "We will take the lead in preventing school violence so that students can feel safe and secure in their school life."
