Request for Participation in Eradicating Illegal Activities at Construction Sites
Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 17th that it held the ‘LH-Korea Specialty Contractors Association Win-Win Cooperation Meeting’ at the Construction Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 16th.
The meeting mainly addressed sharing difficulties faced by the construction industry and improving unfair practices.

The Korea Specialty Contractors Association conveyed six requests to the client, including activation of joint contracts with main contractors, improvement of comprehensive landscaping project orders, and adjustment of contract amounts related to illegal activities by construction labor unions.
Kim Seung-gi, Vice Chairman of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, requested, “Please actively review and reflect the difficulties experienced by the specialty construction industry.”
In response, LH decided to actively review measures to enable specialty construction companies to participate in construction projects and to improve related systems to prevent unfair treatment.
LH explained the ‘Plan to Establish Measures to Eradicate Illegal Activities at Construction Sites’ and asked for the active cooperation of specialty construction companies in eliminating illegal activities at construction sites.
Jung Woon-seop, Head of LH Construction Safety Headquarters, said, “We empathize with the recent difficulties of the specialty construction industry and will conduct in-depth reviews to ensure that the requests are accepted through system improvements,” adding, “In particular, to achieve LH’s healthy construction culture innovation, we ask all participants in construction projects to actively participate together.”
